North and South Korea will combine their women's ping pong teams for the first time in 27 years at the table tennis world championships in Sweden on Friday.
The move follows the North and South Korean leaders’ pledge to work for “complete de-nuclearization” of the Korean peninsula last week.
The last time Korea unified their table tennis team was in 1991, where they beat defending champions China to win the gold medal.
