Brisbane’s City Council have relocated a concrete slab away from a Kelvin Grove park after children playing handball there resulted in local noise complaints.
The slab had only been installed for 3 months before council acknowledgement that handball games ignore its’ intended use.
Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said he hoped children would still be able to enjoy the facility once it was moved to a location roughly 300 metres away.
