The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on Thursday announced it had granted conditional authorisation for a deal over cruise ship operator, Carnival’s access to the long awaited Port of Brisbane project.
Under the agreement, Carnival will be limited in the number of weekend days it can berth and cannot be given the first option on which days to berth.
Carnival will pay a fixed fee to the port for 15 years in return for preferential berthing rights.
