Legal action has been undertaken by the Queensland government against a Cape York cattle station accused of breaching their responsibility to care for Indigenous heritage land.
An investigation began when the Olkola people accused the Kingvale Station owner of continuing land clearing which may have destroyed a burial site.
The ABC reveals the Queensland Department of Environment and Science will take the Kingvale Station to court as they believe the station is in breach of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act.
