A Gold Coast painter, renovator, and unlicensed second-hand car dealer has said to be ripping off tradies and customers.

Ali Faraj had been convicted in South Australia, West Australia, Victoria of deceitful business practices.

Numerous recent complaints received by the OFT indicate Mr Faraj had based himself on the Gold Coast, operating Pro Master Painting and Maintenance, where he would accept deposits from customers and then subcontract the workout to tradespeople who he would fail to pay.

The OFT said in a statement that “Queenslanders are urged to be wary of Mr Faraj and to do research when hiring tradespeople to ensure they licensed and trusted businesses”.
