Over 7 million dinosaur bones and fossils are being stored in the Queensland Museum’s Hendra warehouse.
Many of the items are too heavy and fragile to be moved and put on display.
Dr Andrew Rozefelds says that the artefacts can be cast in foam to make replicas, while the originals are kept safe in storage.
