The Queensland Law Society president has written to the state's Attorney-General, backing calls for a review of Queensland's sexual consent laws.

President, Ken Taylor, says it’s a complex and difficult issue for the legal system and community, but tackling it requires a continued and cooperative effort across Government and the community.

Mr Taylor said the Queensland Law Society would be keen to engage in a review and be consulted by any proposals for reform, saying he is conscious the law must respond to community expectations and remain faithful to their beliefs.
