An intelligence report has revealed attempts by the Chinese government to compromise Australia’s major political parties for the past decade.
According to the report, China’s Communist Party has attempted to infiltrate all layers of Australian government, including local, though the details remain classified.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull ordered the report in 2016, which influenced the introduction of foreign interference laws in 2017.
