A remote Northern Territory school has been reopened, after being cursed and closed for 13 days.
159 students of the Angurugu School returned yesterday, after the Anindilyakwa Land Council coordinated a smoking ceremony, which removed the building’s curse.
Northern Territory politician Selena Uibo said that education is very important to Aboriginal culture, but that it is culturally inappropriate to visit cursed places.
