Two million fewer trips were made on Brisbane’s public transport last year, according to the National Transport Lobby.
The report found a number of factors had led to this decrease, including severe weather events, bus strikes and the introduction of the fare package scheme in late 2016.
In more positive news however, the report also found Brisbane congestion levels are increasing at much a lower rate than any other capital city despite strong population growth.
