One tiny town in Queensland’s state’s west has been awarded an honour, naming it the hottest place in the world on Monday.
February temperature records are being broken in many regional and coastal Queensland towns as a hot air mass hangs across the state, trapping hot air and rising temperatures to approximately 10 degrees above February norms.
Western and central parts of Queensland are currently experiencing an "extreme" heatwave
