The fire that destroyed a closed pub in Longreach will be investigated by a scientific crew from Brisbane.
Longreach police inspector, Mark Hendersen, said the Lyceum Hotel was completely ruined when authorities arrived around 8:15pm on Thursday, but no one was injured and no surrounding properties were damaged.
Mr Hendersen says the landmark pub in Central West Queensland has been closed for several months and was believed to be up for sale.
