The Australian Energy Market Commission has found that fewer households in Australia are confident in their electricity providers than internet and bank companies.
A survey found that trust in the energy sector is at 39%, down from 50% from last year.
AEMC Chairman, John Pierce, said that the closure of Northern and Hazelwood generators is partly to blame, as it’s leading to price fluctuations, but that retailers are still not doing enough to help their customers.
