A new United Nations report has warned that global warming will exceed 1.5 degrees by roughly 2040.
The report comes after the United States pulled out and weakened the Paris climate change agreement last year.
The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change states that only “rapid and far-reaching” transitions in the world economy could prevent global warming of more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.
