St Vincent de Paul, OneLink and Barnados have declined an offer from a migrant family in Canberra to shelter homeless people in their spare bedroom, stating that too many processes were involved.
Raj Zaveri migrated from Mumbai to Canberra in 2015 with permanent residency in search of a better life.
The family wants to give back to the Australian community, after being surprised at the number of homeless in Canberra.
