Major gas pipeline developments have been announced for the Darling Downs region as energy company Jemena finalise an agreement with Senex Energy.
The new Atlas gas field, in the Surat basin, will be connected with the Darling Downs pipeline and the Wallumbilla gas hub, making it the largest gas network in the country.
The developments are set to bring around 200 jobs to the region, with construction finalisation expected at the end of 2019.
