The Retirement Living National Planning Report Card was released today, evaluating the state’s barriers to aged care and efficiency in services, Queensland was ranked 5th.

With over 15 percent of Queensland’s population being aged over 65 according the report, it suggested amendments to Lord Mayor Graham Quirks incentives to attract more aged care facilities to Brisbane.

Overall, the report suggested low scores and a negative sentiment to broad planning.

With the number of older Australians doubling in the next 40 years the report mainly voiced concern about the current national infrastructure.
