Life is going to become more expensive for those who park in the CBD and those who own pets

Brisbane City Council has revealed burials, pet registration and parking is going to become more expensive per the 2018-19 schedule of fees as part of the budget.

From Monday to Friday, parking in the Brisbane CBD will cost motorists $4.90 an hour, which is an 11 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Registering your pet in 2018-19 will be met with a 2.5 percent increase, and purchasing a lawn grave at a council-owned cemetery has increased by $758 to $4465.

Despite this increase, residents will now pay less in surcharges when paying council bills.
