Gold Coast uni student, Sophie Curnow, will run 52km in 24 hours to raise dementia awareness when she competes in two races at the Gold Coast Marathon.

Sophie Curnow, at 29 years of age, will be supporting her mother, Wilma, 58, who was recently been diagnosed with onset dementia.

Sophie will run 10km on Saturday before she endures the full 42km marathon race on Sunday.
