A Tasmanian farmer’s market has joined the war against waste by going plastic free.
Stall operators are swapping plastic bags for paper bags in honour of Plastic Free July.
Trish Haeusler from Plastic Free Launceston says farmers need to be better supported with guidelines as to how plastic can be collected and where it can be deposited to be recycled.
Tasmania has banned single use plastic bags since 2013.
