LNP leader Deb Frecklington has spoken out against the Premier’s decision to name a grandstand at Suncorp stadium after previous Labor party member Terry Mackenroth.
Although Mr Mackenworth has made a contribution to Queensland sport, the move has been categorised as partisan and out of touch by the LNP.
LNP Deputy Leader and former NRL referee Tim Mander suggested it would be more appropriate to name grandstands after sporting heroes, or the teams from the different codes (Broncos, Roar, Reds, and Maroons) who call the stadium home.
