A 33 storey building that will deliver 216 residential units in South Brisbane and feature a 120-meter waterfall has been approved for construction.

Despite concerns from local residents about the sustainability of the waterfall design, the council’s city planning chairman Matthew Bourke said the development would be one of the most sustainable in the city.

A 750-square-metre public park with an outdoor cinema, community garden, public art, children’s play space and an amphitheatre was also approved as part of the development.
