After heavy rains and flooding hit western Japan last week, the death toll has risen to 200, with authorities continuing the search for the missing.

Millions of people were forced to evacuate due to flooding and landslides, with the Hiroshima and Okayama prefecture's being hit the hardest.

The United Nations has offered their support in the clean-up, after secretary-general Antonio Guterres wrote to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and expressed his condolences to Japan.
