Protest group Pussy Riot has claimed responsibility for interrupting the World Cup Grand Final in Russia, after stewards tackled three women and one man who rushed the field in the 52nd minute.

The three protestors called for police reforms and were dressed as Russian police officers to symbolise how they fall short of their depiction in literature.

The group rose to prominence for their anti-putin slogans and bright coloured balaclavas which have become a trademark of their protests.
