The state government has flagged the possibility of renovations at The Gabba stadium amid speculations of selling off the naming rights of the sporting ground.

Sports and tourism executive John Lee began a review in April of the state’s nine government-owned venues in order to make recommendations to boost their performance.

Selling the naming rights to The Gabba for $2million a year is reported to be among the recommendations that were due to be made to the state government.
