The Brisbane City Council will be implementing video surveillance in Brisbane’s CBD to record illegal jaywalkers as a plan to improve pedestrian safety.

The top 20 danger zones where pedestrian accidents are most commonly occurring will be identified to hopes to prevent deaths or injuries due to traffic accidents at intersections.

The Brisbane City Council is also asking commuters to report danger zones with all footage and information received taken to Queensland Police.
