The Queensland Government is reviewing it’s koala relocation policy, after 40 percent of koalas relocated from the Gold Coast suburb of Coomera died within five years.

The koalas were moved approximately 40 kilometres from their original habitat, into the Gold Coast hinterlands.

Queensland Environment Minister Leeanne Enoch said the 180 koalas which were relocated had a stronger survival rate than those who remained in Coomera.
