Christmas tree growers are warning that because of the drought, this year’s trees won’t be the traditional colour, shape, scent and height everyone usually likes.

The patch used for Christmas this year will most likely appear more rugged and come in short supply.

John Cappello, who alongside his brother has supplied wholesale Christmas trees to stores throughout the Sydney region for the past 10 years, says this year has been the first time he’s had to notify all his groups that he won’t be able to supply them with trees.
