Jennifer Robinson, lawyer to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said he is considering an offer to appear before the US Senate Intelligence Committee to discuss alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US election.
Robinson said in a statement that the US Senate Select Committee request confirms their interest in hearing from Mr Assange but must ensure his protection is guaranteed.
The Australian has been sat in the Ecuadorean embassy in London since seeking political asylum there in 2012.
