More than 80 per cent of locals oppose a plan to introduce 45 poker machines at the Pig 'n' Whistle in Indooroopilly.
Greens MP for Maiwar Michael Berkman, who conducted the survey, says the plan is increasing the likelihood of convenience gambling.
Mr Berkman says only 30 per cent of locals were aware that the pokies were being installed.
