Ipswich Road in Annerley has now become Brisbane’s worst accident hotspot, according to a study by insurance company AAMI.
It has risen from sixth place into the top spot as Brisbane’s worst road, with Mains Road in Sunnybank and Gympie Road at Chermside claiming second and third respectively.
AAMI spokesman Michael Mills has advised motorists to be mindful when driving on these accident-prone roads, which have become worse due to the growing population in these areas, leading to a significant increase in vehicles.
