Woolworths staff are reportedly facing increased pressure to meet revenue targets by attracting pokies players despite the company promising to enforce responsible gambling practices according to a former Gambling Attendant.

This pressure stems from a internal program names ‘Walk the Floor’ where staff were rated on  how quickly food and drinks are served and even if the temperature within the room is correct around the tax return period.

This information comes from Former attendant Emma Pearson who states staff would record personal details about various high spending gamblers and sharing them with other staff in order to help encourage them gamble more

Woolworths has responded to these claims by stating that Ms Pearson left over a rostering issue and the ‘Walk the Floor’ program was an effort to improve customer service.
