Queensland will soon welcome its first purpose-built automated vehicle, following the signing of an international agreement.
In early 2019, the state will receive a Level Four automated vehicle which does not require the driver to take action when the system is driving, but allows them to take back control if needed.
Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said these rapidly developing vehicle technologies have the potential to reduce accidents, congestions and emissions.
