Associated Press has uncovered evidence of Russian hackers attempting to steal emails from some of the world’s most senior Orthodox Christian leaders.
The hackers involved were the same group who last month were indicted in the US for interference in the 2016 US election.
The discovery was made during an AP investigation into how the hackers were able to access the emails of US politicians, intelligence workers and international journalists.
