Aretha Franklin’s body arrived in Detroit to begin lying in state as fans gather to give the Queen of Soul a final goodbye.
Her body, delivered in a vintage white Cadillac, will remain in the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History in her home town for two days.
Franklin’s death has been seen as the passing of royalty in Detroit and a week of mourning is being held in the city.
