The controversial Ferny Grove-Upper Kedron Neighbourhood Plan that has been debated for almost three years will come into effect next month.
Lord mayor Graham Quirk approved council to adopt the plan according to amendments he deemed represent a balance between providing for population growth.
The Gap Councillor Steve Toomey said these conditions fail to meet community’s expectations and raise environmental concerns.
Greens Councillor Jonathan Sri supported these fears and condemned the neighbourhood plan for encouraging density which is neither sustainable nor liveable in the long term.
