This week is said to be filled with wet weather, with up to 20mm of rain expected to fall throughout the state, reaching as far as Roma.

The Bureau of Meteorology suggests that showers can be expected throughout Brisbane.

The first day of spring was marked by cool temperatures, such as Saturday’s average of 17 degrees, with similar conditions along with heavy wind forecasted for the week ahead.

Despite these showers, the fire and drought conditions faced throughout rural Queensland are still a major issue for the state.
