Senior cabinet sources within the newly formed Morrison Government have anonymously reported Prime Minister Morrison generated a leadership crisis between Former Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton and Malcolm Turnbull in a scheme to undermine both and ‘swoop in’ for the leadership.

 

Government insiders suggest that Dutton’s numbers were high because of a plan conducted by Morrison and other colleagues, to surreptitiously undermine this plan.

 

This comes after Former Prime Minister Turnbull tried to outwit colleagues with a surprise leadership spill, however backfired after Dutton’s stand for the position allowed Morrison to opportune.

 

The latest poll sees the Coalition’s primary vote at 33 per cent,  at its lowest point in a decade.
