An Emirates plane flying from Dubai to New York has been quarantined after roughly 100 people reported feeling ill with a cough and a fever.

The flight was quarantined at the John F Kennedy International Airport in New York, at a location away from the terminal so emergency officials could evaluate the situation.

Public health officers worked with other agencies to evaluate passengers, including taking temperatures and making arrangements for transport to hospitals. Passengers who were not ill were allowed to continue with their travels.
