Uber will ban Australian and New Zealand passengers who posses a rating lower than 4, for a period of six months, in order to improve passenger behaviour.

Uber told the BBC that Australia and New Zealand had been identified as a place to bring in the rule, after receiving feedback from drivers. While same policy was introduced in Brazil earlier this year, this is the first time it will be rolled out in an English-speaking country.

The policy will begin on the 19th of September and passengers will be given multiple warnings before they are banned.
