Victorias Admissions authority has warned schools to stop publishing misleading results following 2 elite private schools promoting inaccurate year 12 scores

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre or VTAC has warned every Victorian school to publish accurate results as schools have inaccurately equated International Baccalaureate scores of 6 or 7 to VCE scores of above 40, placing this student in the states top 9 percent.

However a third of the state's cohort received a 6-7 and in response, VTAC has advised all schools offering the Baccalaureate programs to avoid conflation, however, Spokeswoman Suzanne Connelly has stated that VTAC believes the data was published in good faith and not in an attempt to misrepresent results.
