The Brisbane City Council has begun discounting cat desexing at 30 local vets in order to reduce stray and abandoned cat populations.
Yesterday the council announced it would commit fifty five thousand dollars in the current financial year to the program.
This comes as the council has received over 700 complaints regarding brisbane's feral cats and has captured 800 of these cats in the last year.
