Israel’s Tel Aviv will host the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, snubbing an attempt by the Israeli government to host the event in Jerusalem.
The announcement follows the Middle Eastern nation’s victory in the song contest earlier this year.
The event is expected to be controversial in the face of the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Isreal over its illegal occupation of Palestinian territory.
