Australia will miss Paris Climate Targets by 1 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide under the current trajectory, according to NDEVR environmental data.
Emissions have hit record highs for the third consecutive year, despite ongoing reassurance from politicians that Australia is on track to meet target.
The report cites the continued rise in emissions due to stationary and fugitive energy emissions, as well as transport emissions with use of diesel fuel increasing.
