Labor’s Candidate for the north-Brisbane seat Petrie, is under a corruption investigation over a 20 million dollar deal involving the Moreton Bay Regional Council.

The council’s Manager of Strategy and Engagement, Corrinne Mulholland is said to be closely associated with the deal, and has faced criticism from opposition for remaining in her role while campaigning for the seat.

Ms Mulholland says while she is currently on extended leave, she intends to resign when the election is called to comply with eligibility requirements.
