Greens MP for Maiwar, Michael Berkman, is holding an emergency community meeting regarding a property developer’s bid to bulldoze over 200 trees in a Fig Tree Pocket forest.
The development on Jesmond Road has sparked outrage from local residents who say natural wildlife should be protected above over development.
Mr Berkman’s community meeting will take place on 21 September, in the first term MP’s electorate office in Indooroopilly. More details are available at his Facebook page.
