New South Wales Premier has committed to close Sydney music festival ‘Defqon 1’ after two people have died and another 2 currently fighting for their lives after multiple drug overdoses.
Over 700 festival-goers were treated, with 18 hospitalised due to drug use.
The Premier made a statement announcing she “never wants to see this festival in New South Wales ever again”.
Over 60 people have been found in possession of drugs at the event at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Castleray (Castlereagh).
