The Queensland government has committed $1 million to help strawberry farmers struggling after the ongoing needle contamination scare.
The government says the funding will help promote the quality of local strawberries, boost integrity in the supply chain and help growers through the rest of the season.
Queensland’s 150 strawberry farmers produce $160 million worth of the fruit a year.
