An image of a young Indian boy crying next to his father's body, posted by Journalist Shiv Sunny, has prompted Indians to raise more than 3 million rupees or 57,000 AUD for the family in 24 hours.
On Friday, the 37-year-old father died in a work accident in the country's capital Delhi.
An investigation into the death found the man was not given any protective gear and even the rope was not strong enough to bear his tension.
Thanks to the generosity of his local community the family were able to cremate his body.
