Prime minister Scott Morrison says he has “full confidence” in Peter Dutton despite the recent au pair scandal.

A Senate inquiry has found that Dutton “misled” parliament by denying his personal connection to the women he released from immigration detention and granted VISAs to.

Dutton had a personal relationship with those employing the Au Pairs, but categorically denied this connection when asked about it in the lower house.

The Senate committee are considering censuring Mr Dutton for failing to observe fairness and lying in parliament.
